The papers I used are from an old Kanban cd rom.

New Baby

Hi Everyone,

This week I have made a card for a friend at work who is getting ready to have her first baby.

Herself and her partner do not want to know the sex of the baby, so I thought it was safe to go with lemon and grey colours.

Cross stitching was where I began my crafting journey and I cant believe it has been 10 years since I have picked up a needle and thread.

I really like the way it has turned out and I am going to try and fit in more cross stitching in the future

I am going to enter my card in the following challenges:

Happy Father's Day

 Hi Everyone,

This week I have made a card for my dad.

The image is from Lili Of The Valley and the digi stamp is called "put your feet up", you can find it here just copy and paste the following into your search engine:

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/644860894/lili-of-the-valley-digi-stamp-as-put

I started by cutting lots of mats and layers using my Scan n Cut and the offset tool function.

I then coloured the digital stamp using my promarkers, which I then scanned it into my computer and printed multiple copies so i could create decoupage layers.

The papers I used are from a very old cd rom in my collection from Kanban called male backgrounds.

I created the father's day sentiment using my craft artist software, and then with left over papers i cut the word dad using the buit in word on my Scan n Cut.

Happy Father's Day.

Handmade Water Shaker Card

 Hi Everyone,

This week I have made a card for my nieces 5th Birthday using the Polkadoodles Mermazing and Starfish and Sandcastle digital kits.

This card is the most tricky card I ever done and to be honest I dont think I would make another in a hurry!!

Because my niece really loves mermaids I though the water shaker card would work very well.

I started by creating the base card in my Silhouette studio software, once that was done I had the bright idea of cutting the number 5 out of an A4 laminating pouch.

When this was cut, I got my food vacuum sealer machine ( a kitchen toy that only got used a couple of times)........I then went on to press the edges to seal the number, this worked great on the straight edges but didn't work great on the tricky curves.

Then I come up with the idea to buy a handheld food sealer to finish the laminated number off.

Once most of the number was sealed I then mixed up some cheap blue hair gel, glycerin and glitter I then inserted the mixture using a medicine syringe into the number.

At first it looked like the handheld food sealer worked well but then just as I started to mount the number on the card.....dissaster happened and the number began to leak.......

I quickly got some glue and glued as much as I could this stopped the leak, but for how long I dont know.

Unfortunaly this will be look with your eyes and dont touch card, which is a shame as the reason I wanted to do this technique was so it could be touched and played with.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Taking the images into my Silhouette design software I got to work making the base card.

I then printed the image multiple times so I could create decoupage layers.

The card was then finished off with 3d gloss

Happy 6th Birthday Roxy

 Hi Everyone,

This week I have made a birthday card for my niece.

She loves unicorns, so I decided to use my Polkadoodles Sparkling Unicorn kit.

I set to work designing my base card using my trusty Silhouette software.

I created a shaker card as I knew I had some faux sprinkles that would go really well with the pre coloured image.

For the Letters and number I used Wild Spider sticky roll layered on card, I then cut the letters and number out using my scan and cut and then added lots of coloured fine glitter.

I love this technique and I will definitly be using it again, in fact I need to stock up on the sticky roll!

I really enjoyed making this card because I got to use lots of bright colours and add lots of sparkle!

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

It's A Whatever Kind Of A Day

 Hi Everyone,

This Week I have made a card using the Polkadoodles new Winnie Daisy Fairy kit.

This really is a pretty kit so I hope you like my creation.

Firstly I printed the pre-coloured image multiple times so I could fussy cut and make decoupage layers.

I then printed all the co-ordinating backing papers and mat and layered my base card.

I then got my trusty tattered lace More Than Essentials usb (no 14) and cut the pearl square layer and also cut out the tuck in circles cutting files.

For the centre of the daisy's I could not help but add some yellow Flowersoft, I really like that effect for flowers.

Finally I added the sentiments, not forgetting my pearl gems!

I hope you like it and I am going to enter this card in the following challenge's:

Happy Birthday

 Hi Everyone,

This week I have made a card for my boyfriends birthday.

I started by purchasing the old truck digital stamp from the Fred She Said blog. (https://fred-she-said-store.blogspot.com)

I knew my boyfriend would love this image.

With the download you get coloured images and also the digital stamp uncoloured, very good value for money.

I printed the already coloured blue truck and added rust colours to the car using my promarkers and a piece of sponge.

I then designed the happy birthday frame using my Silhouette design software and layered it up.

Using the More Than Essential USB from Tattered Lace I cut lattice pieces from tuck in scribble file and then placed the pieces behind the image.

I hope you like it see you next week.

I have entered my card in the following card challenges:
